Can testosterone therapy affect blood pressure?

Some testosterone products can raise blood pressure, and the FDA's 2025 labeling update addresses blood pressure across testosterone products. Blood pressure is checked as part of follow-up.

Effects differ by product and by person. Monitoring blood pressure during treatment helps catch changes early.

If blood pressure rises, your clinician may adjust the plan or work with your other doctors.

Risks and limitations

  • Men with poorly controlled blood pressure need it addressed as part of the decision about treatment.
